DocketShop, also known as Online Booking and “the shopping cart feature”, is the easiest way to put your services, inventory, and availability in front of potential clients.
DocketShop is an online shopping cart that’s fully integrated with your Docket account and heavily customizable. It’s intuitive and user-friendly for your website visitors and it’s set up to be used with either a website Docket builds for you or a 3rd party website you may already be using.
Because DocketShop can be super robust for your business, we’ve curated 7 total setup steps to be followed in the below order.

Before You Start
Here are a few things to know before you continue:

Click here for more info on both our 'Setting Up DocketShop' courses. - You must have Admin or Office Staff permissions in order to set up DocketShop.
- You must have a phone number in your Docket profile.
- You must have at least one asset in your Docket account.
- You must have at least one billing template set up or your pricing matrix imported into your Docket account.
- You must be set up with Docket's 3rd party online payment processor.
- DocketShop is separate from a website and cannot be used without one. Docket provides website services if you don’t already have one. To learn more, click here!
- If you’re on our Grow plan, you automatically get Basic DocketShop. If you’re on our Pro or Pro Plus plan, you automatically get Premium DocketShop.
Step 1: Online Booking Settings
This fundamental step introduces you to the DocketShop editor and has you set up some basic appearance settings to get started.
Step 2: Add or Edit Online Booking Products
This step walks you through adding and/or editing your assets that will appear as available products in the shopping cart to potential clients.
Please Note: It’s very important to add your assets into Docket BEFORE having us activate your DocketShop subscription. DocketShop will only pull in your asset inventory ONCE when it’s first activated. Moving forward you’ll need to manually update your assets, so make sure you have most of the work done beforehand!
Step 3: Add or Edit Online Booking Product Pricing and Servicing Details
This step walks you through setting up the pricing for each of your products along with each of your products’ servicing details, like whether or not a potential clients can book a same-day delivery.
Please Note: It’s very important to add your pricing matrix or set up your billing templates in Docket BEFORE having us activate your DocketShop subscription. DocketShop will only pull in your pricing details ONCE when it’s first activated. Moving forward you’ll need to manually update your pricing details, so make sure you have most of the work done beforehand!
Step 4: Add or Edit Online Booking Product Availability and Time Windows
This step walks you through setting up the availability of each of your products along with each of your products’ time window options, like whether a potential client can book for hour-long or half-hour-long intervals.
Step 5: Edit Online Booking Storefront
This step introduces you to the Storefront that potential clients will see when using the shopping cart feature on your website and has you set up some basic appearance settings to get started.
Step 6: Access Online Booking Workflow
This step in setting up your shopping cart is the most important step, which is why we’ve broken it down into 6 mini-steps. The link above will take you to an introduction of your Storefront and its workflows. Please review that first.

Step 7: Add DocketShop to Your Website
