Streamline your order entry, task management, and customer communications by configuring your Task Options, Scheduling Options, and Profile settings in Docket. This article covers the key settings to review and adjust.


Task Options Settings

  1. Allow Multiple Waste Materials:
    • Enable this setting if multiple waste types (e.g., concrete, asbestos) may go into the same bin.
  2. Default Driver Task Duration:
    • Set the average time drivers need to complete tasks.
    • Adjust this default from 60 minutes based on your typical workflows to improve route planning.
  3. Net Weight Units:
    • Choose between tons or pounds for waste measurement, depending on your business needs.
  4. Show Permits:
    • Enable this setting to save permit information for tasks, making it accessible to drivers and staff.

Scheduling Options Settings

  1. Confirmation Message:
    • Add a message that appears after creating a task. Use this for reminders or instructions, such as confirming terms with the customer.
  2. Default Driver Notes and Default Office Notes:
    • Include recurring notes or reminders that need to appear on every task for internal use only.
  3. Onsite Duration:
    • Specify average durations for task types (e.g., drop-off, pick-up, dump and return). Adjust from the default 15 minutes to fit your workflow.
  4. Required Items:
    • Select details (e.g., permits, customer contact info) that must be included for every task.
  5. Show Driver Task Duration:
    • Allow adjustments to the default task duration for specific scenarios where times differ.

Profile Settings

Keep your business information accurate and professional in Docket’s profile settings:

  1. Accessing Profile Settings:
    • Go to Account > Profile to view or update your business information.
  2. Business Information:
    • Ensure your business name, address, and contact information are accurate as they appear on customer invoices.
    • Upload your logo for a professional touch.
  3. Editing Sections:
    • Details: Update your business name and website. Click Update Details to save changes.
    • Address: Edit your business address. Click Update Address to save changes.
    • Contact: Modify email or phone details. Click Update Contact to save changes.
    • Theming: Customize colors for your client dashboard and mobile app. Click Update Theming to apply changes.
