Billing
Show Previous Invoices
This setting is ON by default.
This setting controls whether you'll see invoices attached to previous tasks in the Billing section of Exchange and Dump and Return (D&R) tasks.
As a best practice, Exchange and D&R tasks should be connected to the original Drop Off task for any particular dumpster rental.
If the tasks are all connected properly and this setting is on, you'll see each task's invoices appear in the Billing section of all the other connected tasks. This streamlines your billing process and makes it easy for you and your team to flag any errors or inconsistencies.
Dispatch
Lane Title
This is set to EMPLOYEE by default.
When you look at the Dispatch page in your Docket account, you'll see columns (lanes) with the names of your drivers at the top.
This setting controls whether your drivers' name appear at the top of each column or if your vehicle names appear at the top of each column instead.
If your business tracks work to be done per vehicle instead of per driver, use this setting to visualize your tasks per vehicle on the Dispatch page.
Only Show Tasks Marked Ready
This setting is OFF by default.
This setting controls whether both Ready and Not Ready tasks will display on the Dispatch page.
This can make it easier to prioritize pickups and afternoon routing, avoiding confusion Not Ready tasks may cause.
Show Client Types
This setting is ON by default.
This setting controls whether the Client Type label(s) added to each client's profile appear on each of their tasks displayed on the Dispatch page.
This is helpful to quickly see what kinds of clients are associated with each day's work and makes it easy for you to organize drivers' routes based on client type.
Brokering
Please Note: This section of settings only applies to your Docket account if you're currently set up to broker dumpster tasks.
Default Reasons
This setting is BLANK by default.
As you broker out rentals to hauler businesses, there will be occasions where they won't be able to complete tasks according to plan.
This setting is where you can set up your accepted, recommended reasons that haulers can use to let you know what happened when they're unable to complete a task.
Load Shared Dumpsters
This setting is ON by default.
This setting controls whether you'll see the dumpster assets from the haulers you work with in a task.
This is helpful if your business schedules tasks for other haulers to complete because you'll want to use their assets instead of your own.
Show Shared Assets on Map
This setting is ON by default.
This setting controls whether you'll see the dumpster assets from the haulers you work with on the map in the Assets page.
This is helpful to know how many of their assets are available for rentals.
Mobile App
PIN Entry Method
This is set to SELECT by default.
This setting controls how your drivers will be asked to enter dumpster PINs if you use those to keep track of your dumpster assets.
Input:
This options means that drivers will have to manually type in a dumpster's PIN in order to confirm that the task they're working on has been completed.
Select:
This option means that drivers will need to select the correct dumpster PIN from a list of all your PINs in order to confirm that the task they're working on has been completed.
TIP: We suggest leaving this setting on Select to minimize operator error.
Show Client Types
This setting is ON by default.
This setting controls whether the Client Type label(s) added to each client's profile appear on each of their tasks displayed in Docket's mobile app.
This is helpful information to provide your drivers with in case they need to complete some types of clients' tasks differently.
Page Options
Open Rentals
This is set to TASKS by default.
This setting controls how Docket matches your incomplete (open) dumpster tasks when listing them in the Open Rentals section of the Assets page.
When Docket groups open dumpster tasks together for you to review on the Assets page, it can group them by connected tasks or by associated asset PIN. Choose the option that best fits the way your business organizes its tasks.
Settings
Allow Unavailable PIN
This setting is OFF by default.
Turning this setting on means that your drivers will be able to mark tasks as complete in their mobile app without selecting the correct dumpster asset PIN.
Because assets PINs are vital to accurately track your dumpsters in Docket, we strongly suggest leaving this setting off so your drivers have to enter the correct PIN in order to mark a task complete.
Connect Previous and Next Tasks on Fail
This setting is ON by default.
This setting controls how Docket manages and connects related tasks to each other.
As a best practice, all dumpster tasks associated with the same dumpster rental should be connected. Keeping this setting toggled on (blue) means your related tasks will remain connected and easier to find/take action on.
Show All PINs When Editing Task PIN
This setting is ON by default.
This setting controls whether you see all available asset PINs when editing a PIN in a task. This makes it easy to quickly find, compare, and select PINs when editing tasks.
Show Option to Mark Tasks as Ready
This setting is OFF by default.
Turning this setting on means that you'll see an option at the top of each task to mark that task 'Ready' or 'Not Ready', indicating its dispatching status.
If you require someone to sign off on tasks as 'Ready for Dispatching' before tasks can be assigned to drivers, turning this setting on is an easy way to visually indicate to your team that a task is either 'Not Ready' or 'Ready' for dispatching.
Show Other Service Address Contacts
This setting is ON by default.
Each client can have many different service addresses, such as a commercial company that rents dumpsters from your business for multiple locations.
In Docket, each service address can be associated with multiple different contacts, which helps you and your team keep track of who's in charge of each rental site.
This setting controls whether you'll see all of a client's service address-specific contacts in each task associated with that client. Turning this off means that you'll only see the contacts for the specific service address the task is associated with.
