Docket Dispatch & Routing Guide

This guide outlines how to configure and use Docket’s Dispatch & Routing tools to assign tasks, manage driver schedules, track completions, and handle real-world scenarios like failed tasks or dump-later workflows.

Step 1: Configure Dispatch Settings

Yard & Dump Locations

    • Names & addresses
    • Relevant equipment, material, and labor costs

Average On-Site Duration

  • Navigate to: Settings > Add Ons > Dumpster Management > Scheduling Options
  • Set time (in minutes) for each task type (drop-off, pickup, etc.)
    • Note: Does not include travel time

Route ETA Mode

  • Navigate to: Settings > Account > Plan > Routing > Routing ETA
  • Toggle ON to use road-based travel time (instead of straight-line "as the crow flies" distance)

Dump Later Workflow

  • Driver completes pickup
  • Assigned dump location shown

    • System creates a pending dump task
    • Driver can choose a Yard Drop location

Step 5: Post-Task Monitoring in Dispatch
