Assign a Pricing Type to a Service Address

Docket lets you assign pricing types at the service address level, giving you flexibility and control over how prices are applied across your client's locations. When a service address is selected during scheduling, Docket automatically references the Pricing Matrix or Pricing Template associated with that Pricing Type, so the right price is applied without manual edits. This is especially useful for clients with multiple locations, different pricing agreements, or varying billing needs across sites.

Before You Start

How It Works

Each service address can be assigned a Pricing Type from your account settings. When that service address is selected during scheduling, Docket references the Pricing Matrix or Pricing Template associated with that Pricing Type to calculate the correct price automatically.

Assign a Pricing Type to a Saved Service Address

For current clients, you can use their client profile to quickly add service address level pricing types.

  1. Open a Client’s Profile.
  2. Select “Addresses.”
  3. Open “Service Addresses.”
  4. Click “Actions.”
  5. Select “+ Add Pricing Type.”
     


     

  6. In the pop-up that appears, use the drop-down menu to select a Pricing Type.
  7. Click “Accept” to save.



     

Once saved, the Pricing Type will be automatically applied whenever this service address is used for scheduling and billing.

Assign a Pricing Type to a New Service Address

When adding a new service address, either from a client's profile or during task or job creation, you can assign a Pricing Type at the same time.

Please Note: In addition to adding a Pricing Type, the Additional Options section on service addresses lets you add other address-level information such as:

  • Name
  • Notes & Office Notes
  • PO Number & Project Name

From a Client's Profile

To assign a pricing type to a new service address using a client’s profile:

  1. Open a Client’s Profile.
  2. Select “Addresses.”
  3. Open “Service Addresses.”
  4. Click “Add."
     


     

  5. Enter service address information in the pop-up that appears.
  6. Click “Additional Options” at the bottom of the form. 
     


     

  7. Find Pricing Type and use the drop-down menu to select a Pricing Type for the service address.
  8. Click “Accept.”


From a New Task or Job

To assign a pricing type to a new service address when creating a task or job:

  1. Click the “New” button. 
  2. Select “Schedule Event.” 
  3. Select “Dumpster Task,” “Rental Task,” or “Job.”
     


     

  4. Enter a current client or create a new client.
  5. Continue to Service Address.
  6. Select “Create New Address.”
  7. Enter service address information.
  8. Click “Additional Options” at the bottom of the form. 
  9. Find Pricing Type and use the drop-down menu to select a Pricing Type for the service address.
  10.  Proceed to finish creating the task or job.



     

Once the task or job is created, the service address will be saved with the Pricing Type you selected.
