Your profile information and logo appear on all client-facing communications from your Docket account, including invoices and estimates. Keeping this information accurate and up to date is one of the easiest ways to look professional in front of your clients.
Before You Start
Here are a few things to know before you continue:
- We recommend that only the Account Owner change your account's profile information.
- Your business information and logo will appear on all communications with your clients, like invoices and estimates.
Navigate to Your Profile
To access your account's profile, just click on the Account tab from the left-hand navigation menu.
You'll always see the Profile page first when clicking into this area of Docket.
Update Your Profile
Your profile information is displayed to your clients in a variety of ways, including but not limited to invoices and estimates.
By default, your profile will automatically include the email address and phone number of your account's main point of contact (usually the Account Owner).
We strongly recommend updating the information in your profile to reflect exactly what you want your clients to see.
To update the information in your profile, just click "Edit Profile" in the top right of the profile card.
Your profile information is organized into 4 sections:
- Details
- Address
- Contact
- Theming
Profile: Details
This section contains your business name and website URL.
Business Name:
This is the business name you use day-to-day with clients and on signs and promotional materials.
Legal Business Name:
This is your legal business name that appears on official paperwork, like your business license.
Website:
This is the full URL that leads to your business website. The "http://" is automatically added to your URL when you click "Update Details", so make sure to exclude that when you add your URL.
Profile: Address
This section contains your business address.
We recommend that you add your business address here for a professional, polished look in front of your clients.
Profile: Contact
This section contains the contact information (email and number) for your business.
Use this to change the default contact information Docket uses and/or to add additional contact information that clients can use.
Account-level Contacts added here will receive clients' responses to emails sent from your Docket account, like invoices and estimates. We suggest only adding Account Owners and main Admins here.
Profile: Theming
This section contains a few personalization options for your Docket account.
Primary Color: This controls what color is used for buttons on Client Dashboards. If your business uses specific colors and you'd like your clients to see that color on their Dashboards, select it here using the color table or HEX/RGB codes. As you make changes, you'll see an example of what the buttons will look like under Sample Buttons.
Override Primary Contrast Color: This controls what color is used for the words that appear on buttons on Client Dashboards. If your business uses specific colors and you'd like your clients to see that color on their Dashboards, select it here using the color table or HEX/RGB codes. As you make changes, you'll see an example of what the buttons will look like under Sample Buttons.
Secondary Color: Due to infrastructure changes to Docket' mobile app in 2025, this setting no longer works. Please ignore it.
Override Secondary Contrast Color: Due to infrastructure changes to Docket' mobile app in 2025, this setting has depreciated. Please ignore it.
Mobile App Overrides: Due to infrastructure changes to Docket' mobile app in 2025, the two options under this setting have depreciated. Please ignore them.
Browser Tab Prefix: This setting controls part of the title of the browser tab of your Docket account.
For instance, go to your Docket account and look at the top of your screen, above where the "app.yourdocket.com" URL appears in the address bar.
You'll see a tab with a title that matches the page you're looking at in Docket.
Using the Browser Tab Prefix field, you can add additional words to this browser tab. This is helpful if you and your team usually have multiple browser tabs open throughout the day and you want an easy way to identify which tab holds your Docket account.
Upload Your Logo
Your logo is displayed to your clients in a variety of ways, including but not limited to invoices, estimates, DocketShop, ReviewGuard, and every client's dashboard.
To upload your logo, just click on the blank "Logo" image in the top left of the Profile page.
That will open up the file explorer for the device you're currently using and you can select an image to upload as your logo. The image will auto-save and you won't be able to remove it, only replace it.
