Setting Up and Using ReviewGuard

ReviewGuard in Docket helps you manage customer reviews by automatically requesting feedback and filtering ratings to protect your online presence. This article explains how to set up and use ReviewGuard, along with alternatives for accounts without it.


What Is ReviewGuard?

ReviewGuard allows you to:

  • Automatically request reviews from customers.
  • Filter reviews by setting a minimum star rating (e.g., only 4 or 5 stars are posted online).
  • Collect internal feedback for ratings below the threshold.

Step 1: Activate ReviewGuard

  1. Check for Activation:
    • Go to Account > Plan > ReviewGuard.
    • If available, click Configure ReviewGuard and follow the setup instructions.
  2. Set Up Marketing Settings:
    • Go to Account > Settings > Company > Marketing Settings.
    • Enable Show Star Rating Feedback.
    • Add URLs for your review sites (e.g., Google Reviews).
  3. Configure ReviewGuard-Specific Options:
    • Auto-Pick Review URL: Randomly selects a review site if you have multiple links.
    • ReviewGuard Minimum Threshold: Choose the minimum star rating to allow online (default: 4 or 5).
    • Company Review Page URL: Add a direct link to your review page for manual requests.

Step 2: Setting Up Review Requests

  1. Access Client Notifications:
    • Go to Account > Settings > Notifications > Client Notifications.
    • Search for "review" in the search bar.
  2. Enable Review Notifications:
    • Toggle on email, text, or both for:
      • Immediate review requests (sent after task completion).
      • Delayed review requests (sent the day after task completion).
  3. Customize Messages:
    • Edit messages to match your business tone.
    • Use the Client Review URL merge tag for ReviewGuard users.
    • For accounts without ReviewGuard, replace the tag with a direct link to your review site.
  4. Save Your Settings:
    • Click Save Settings after making changes.

Managing Reviews in Docket

  1. View Reviews:
    • Go to the ReviewGuard section on the left menu.
    • See your average rating and customer feedback.
  2. Monitor Review Activity:
    • Track which review site customers visited.
    • View feedback from customers who provided low ratings.
  3. Handle Anonymous Reviews:
    • If Docket cannot match a rating to a customer profile, it will appear as anonymous.

Tips for Best Practices

  • Use ReviewGuard to safeguard your online reputation by filtering low ratings.
  • Even without ReviewGuard, sending review requests helps boost your online presence.
  • Regularly monitor feedback to improve customer satisfaction.
