Docket’s mobile app settings let you customize what your drivers can do and see in the app, helping to streamline operations and enforce workflows. This article explains how to configure these settings for your business.
Accessing Mobile App Settings
- Dumpster Management Settings:
- Go to Account > Settings > Add Ons > Dumpster Management.
- Click View on the Dumpster Management card.
- Scroll to the Mobile App section.
- Task Settings:
- Go to Account > Settings > Company.
- Scroll to the Task Settings card and click View.
- Expand the Mobile App section.
- Employee-Specific Settings:
- Go to Account > Employees.
- Select an employee’s name and click Access.
- Expand the Mobile section.
Key Mobile App Settings
- Dumpster Management Settings:
- Required Items:
- Choose specific information drivers must input before marking a task complete (e.g., weight tickets, photos).
- Strict Task Order:
- Enforce task completion in the exact order assigned by Dispatch.

- PIN Entry Method:
- Default: Drivers manually enter a dumpster’s PIN.
- Alternative: Change to Select for drivers to pick the PIN from a dropdown list in the app.

- Controls whether drivers can create estimates, invoices, jobs, clients, or expenses.
- Turn this off for new drivers or specific roles to limit app functionality.
- Expert Tip: Set this as the default for all new drivers by clicking Save as Mobile Access Role Defaults.
- Strict Task Order:
- This driver-specific setting overrides the main Strict Task Order.
- Use for training new drivers or ensuring specific drivers follow routes exactly as planned.
