Once you've set up your Basic or Premium DocketShop (click here for Step 1 of setting up your DocketShop), you’re ready for customers to start booking your products online.
To integrate DocketShop into your website, you have three options:
1. Direct URL
This is a direct link to your DocketShop, allowing customers to book online via a standalone webpage.
Best Uses:
-
Adding a booking link to social media or paid ads.
-
Using DocketShop without a website by placing the URL anywhere you'd normally provide a website link.
How to Use the Direct URL:
-
Log in to your Docket account.
-
Go to Online Booking.
-
Navigate to Website Scripts.
-
Under Direct URL, click Copy to Clipboard.
-
Paste the URL where needed (e.g., social media, emails, digital ads).
2. iFrame Website Element
The iFrame method embeds your DocketShop directly onto a page of your website.
Best Uses:
-
Displaying DocketShop as a seamless part of your website.
How to Use the iFrame Element:
-
Log in to your Docket account.
-
Go to Online Booking.
-
Navigate to Website Scripts.
-
Under Website
<iframe>
Element, click Copy to Clipboard. -
Log in to your website's backend and navigate to the page where you want to embed DocketShop.
-
Add the iFrame code into the HTML of that page.
-
If unsure where to add the code, contact your website provider (Wix, WordPress, Squarespace, etc.) for assistance.
3. Embed Script (Recommended)
The Embed Script is the most popular way to add DocketShop to your website. It links DocketShop to specific Webpage Phrases (like Book Now, Order Now, Click to Order, etc.) so that clicking those buttons automatically opens DocketShop.
Best Uses:
-
Connecting DocketShop to buttons across your website.
-
Ensuring high conversion rates with call-to-action (CTA) phrases like Book Now.
How to Use the Embed Script:
-
Log in to your Docket account.
-
Go to Online Booking.
-
Navigate to Website Scripts.
-
Under Website Elements, locate Webpage Phrases.
-
The default phrases include variations of Book Now.
-
If your site uses different wording (e.g., Request Dumpster), add that phrase after a comma with no spaces (e.g.,
Book Now,BOOK NOW,ORDER HERE,Order Here
).
-
-
Click the Save Changes button.
-
Under Embed Scripts (right side of the screen), click Copy Scripts.
-
Log in to your website’s backend and add the script to the header or footer of your site.
-
If needed, contact your website provider (Wix, WordPress, Squarespace, etc.) for guidance on proper script placement.
