Adding vehicles (trucks) to your Docket account is easy and fast. It's how you'll assign vehicles to your drivers for optimizing their routes, track routine maintenance for your fleet, and store important related information about each vehicle, like mileage, VIN numbers, and carrying capacity.
Before You Start
Here are a few things to know before you continue:
- The only required field is Display Name when adding a vehicle if you're not using IronRoute AI.
- If you're using IronRoute AI, there are additional fields that are required in order for IronRoute AI to successfully optimize your drivers' days. Please review this article for further information.
Add a Vehicle
Currently, there isn't a way to bulk import Vehicles, so to manually add a truck to your Docket account, just follow the instructions below:
- Click the "+ New" button in the top left corner.
- Click on "Vehicle" in the Add section.
- One by one, click to expand each section within the Vehicle's profile and then click the Pencil Icon to edit the fields.
- Once you're done filling out the fields in each section, click the Checkmark icon to save your changes.
