QR Code Ordering Process

This guide provides detailed instructions on creating and ordering QR code stickers for use within Docket. Follow the steps below to generate QR codes, order stickers, and ensure optimal placement.

Generating QR Code Images

To generate new QR code images in Docket:

  1. Open the Docket Web App:

    • Use your current asset list to generate PINs.
    • Alternatively, upload a CSV or Excel file containing the list of PINs.
      • You can use the example file here, adding your asset PINs to the first column. Be sure to keep the provided "Pin" header in cell A1, otherwise the import will fail.
  2. Access the QR Code Generation Tool:

    • Search for the "Generate QR Codes" action in the green "+ New" global actions menu.
  3. Complete the Generation Process:

    • Follow the steps in the "Confirm QR Code Generation" dialog to create your QR code images.

Note: Depending on the number of QR codes you are generating, you may be prompted to download multiple files. Please accept so that we are able to generate and provide all of the requested QR codes.

Manufacturers

Historically, all Docket QR code stickers have been manufactured and drop-shipped by FastSigns:

  • FastSigns
    • 3979 Indian Ripple Rd Unit H
    • Beavercreek, OH 45440
    • (937) 705-6014
    • FastSigns Website

However, you can choose any manufacturer to produce your QR code stickers.

Ordering Through FastSigns

When placing an order with FastSigns, provide the following information:

  • Number of unique QR code images
  • Quantity of each unique QR code image
  • Total number of QR code stickers to be manufactured
  • Size of the QR code stickers
  • Shipping address
  • Zip file of the QR code images
Example Order

I've attached a batch of 60 QTY 2 (120 Total)
I need these each printed as 3" x 3.75"

Shipped to the following address:

ServiceCore
1667 Cole Blvd.
Suite 350
Lakewood, CO 80401

Materials

We recommend ordering High-Tack Laminate 3 mil UV Gloss stickers, as they are weather and scratch-resistant.

Sizing

Optimal QR code sticker sizes are:

  • 2” x 2.5”
  • 3” x 3.75”
  • 4” x 5”

Avoid using sizes smaller than 2” x 2.5” to prevent the need for inconveniently close scanning. Larger stickers (greater than 4” x 5”) may be more prone to damage.

Quantity

You can place as many duplicate QR code stickers on your assets as needed. Most customers opt for a single sticker, but adding more can help with scanning in tight spaces or provide redundancy if one sticker is damaged.

Pricing

We do not control prices or receive any financial compensation from your order. This service simply connects you with the manufacturer.

Placement Recommendations

Place your stickers in low-traffic areas to avoid damage. These operational stickers help your team scan assets during drop-offs and pick-ups, and are not intended for advertising.

QR Code Sticker Details

All QR codes come with a scannable code and a readable PIN for backup, ensuring functionality even if the QR code becomes unscannable.
