Once your Dumpsters.com integration is set up in Docket, incoming brokered orders will appear directly in your account - no more back-and-forth emails or phone calls. This guide will walk you through how to view, accept, decline, and convert those orders into scheduled tasks in your Docket Brokers tab.
Where to View Brokered Orders
- In your Docket account, go to the Brokers tab.
- This page will list all brokered orders from Dumpsters.com.
- Orders that previously came to your inbox now appear here with the same level of detail.
What You'll See on the Brokers Page
Each order displays key information, including:
- Service date
- Dumpster size
- Service type (e.g., drop off, pick up, exchange, dump & return)
- Service address
- Rental length
- Materials requested
- Special instructions or notes (driver notes, waste type, office comments)
Orders from Dumpsters.com are clearly marked with a Dumpsters.com integration label.
Order Statuses Explained
Each brokered order in Docket will display one of three statuses:
- Awaiting Response – New order waiting for your action.
- Accepted – You've accepted the order from Dumpsters.com.
- Note: This doesn’t yet mean the task has been created.
- Declined – You've declined the order, and a reason has been sent to Dumpsters.com.
Accepting or Declining an Order
To decline:
- Click Decline next to the order.
- Choose a decline reason.
- This info (including the timestamp) is sent back to Dumpsters.com.
To accept:
- Click Accept next to the order.
- A confirmation dialog will appear with pre-filled task details.
- Task category
- Dumpster size
- Rental length
- Waste materials
- Pricing
- You can edit any of these fields before scheduling the task.
Docket pulls in your defaults from the Dumpsters.com client setup to streamline this process.
Scheduling the Task
After reviewing the order details:
- Choose your service date and confirm task settings.
- For pickups, exchanges, or dump & return services, you can link this task to a previous one if applicable.
- Click Create Task to convert the brokered order into a live task in your Docket system.
What Happens Next
Once the task is created:
- It will appear in your Task List and Dispatch Board like any other scheduled job.
- You can assign a driver, track progress, and complete the job as normal.
Automatic Status Updates
Docket sends real-time updates to Dumpsters.com automatically, including:
- When you're on your way
- When the task is complete
- Weight ticket data (including images and dump site info)
