Stripe Integration End of Life — What You Need to Know

Last updated: April 2026 Affects: All Docket customers currently processing payments through Stripe

What's happening?

Docket's Stripe payment integration will be officially retired on July 1st, 2026. After that date, you will no longer be able to process new transactions through Stripe within Docket.

Your historical Stripe data stays put — nothing is deleted. But active payment flows through Stripe will stop working on that date.

Why are we doing this?

We know changes like this take time on your end, so we want to be upfront about the reasoning.

Supporting multiple payment integrations simultaneously creates a lot of complexity behind the scenes — more code to maintain, more potential points of failure, and slower development cycles. By consolidating on a single integration, we can move faster and deliver a more reliable, consistent experience for you.

We've chosen Fiserv as our payment platform because it's the best fit for where Docket is headed. Fiserv gives you access to:

  • Mobile payments — take payments in the field, not just at the office
  • ACH processing — offer customers flexible payment options
  • Working capital — access financing built for your business
  • Card account updater (coming soon) — automatically keep saved cards up to date so you're not chasing expired cards
  • Faster feature development — a single integration means we can ship updates to your payment experience much more quickly

What you need to do before July 1st, 2026

If you're currently using Stripe in Docket, you need to enroll in Fiserv and migrate your active payment setup before the deadline.

The good news: The enrollment process takes about five minutes.

Steps to get started:

  1. Complete the Fiserv enrollment form
  2. Follow the step-by-step migration guide
  3. Update any saved Stripe card details in the new system before July 1st

Important: If you transition before the deadline, your existing Stripe cards can remain active while you move things over — but all card information must be fully migrated into Fiserv by July 1st to avoid any gaps in service.

Frequently asked questions

Will I lose my Stripe transaction history? No. Your historical Stripe data stays in Docket exactly where it is. Only the ability to process new transactions through Stripe will stop.

What if I miss the July 1st deadline? You won't be able to take payments through Docket until your Fiserv setup is complete. We strongly recommend migrating before the deadline to avoid any disruption — especially heading into the busy season.

How long does the Fiserv setup actually take? The enrollment form takes about five minutes to complete. Once enrolled, the migration steps are straightforward and outlined in our step-by-step guide.
