Feature Update: ETA-Based Timeline View
The dispatch timeline now shows estimated task start times based on Route ETAs, giving you a real-time picture of how a driver's day is tracking.
Audience: Dispatchers, Admins, and Owners
What Changed
- Tasks on the timeline now display estimated start times calculated from Route ETAs.
- The ETA between tasks reflects the estimated drive time to the next stop, using HERE Maps based on the task sequence.
- Dumps and yards attached at the task level also appear on the timeline.
- As tasks are completed, you can see whether drivers are finishing work on time or running behind relative to the original ETA estimates.
- Route ETAs are generated when you click the Route button on a driver's column.
Why it Matters
Previously, the timeline didn't reflect when tasks were actually expected to happen during the day. Now it shows a time-based view of the driver's schedule so you can track progress in real time and catch delays before they become problems.

Feature Update: Client Contact Info Form Validation
The contact info form for adding a new client has been redesigned to prevent unsaved entries from being lost.
What Changed
- Previously, if you typed a phone number or email address but didn't click the + button to save it, the entry was silently dropped with no warning.
- The updated form catches unsaved entries and handles them before letting you move forward.
Why it Matters
There was no indication that an entry had been lost. You could type a phone number or email, miss the + button, and move on without realizing it was gone. That no longer happens.

Feature Update: Project Name Drop-down
Project names on invoices, charges, tasks, and other billing records now work from a managed drop-down list at the client level, replacing the previous free-text field.
What Changed
-
Project names are now managed in the billing section of a client's Client Settings. You can add new ones, and soft-delete ones you no longer need.
- When a project name is deleted from the client's list, it stays on any existing records where it was already used. It just won't appear as an active option going forward.
- Anywhere you could previously type a project name freehand, invoices, charges, tasks, etc., you'll now see a drop-down showing that client's saved project names instead.
- You can still add a new project name directly by writing the new name instead of selecting from the drop-down.
- If you were already using project names before this update, your account was automatically populated with project names from the past 6 months so your existing list carried over.
Why it Matters
Free-text project name fields meant typos and inconsistent names across invoices, tasks, and charges for the same project. The drop-down keeps names consistent across all records for a client, which matters for reporting and billing accuracy.
Fixes
-
Online Booking:
- Fixed a bug in Online Booking where customers were shown an incorrect error about service length when the "Include Start Day" setting was enabled. The date picker now shows the right number of days and won't prompt customers to add extra days.
-
Pricing & Billing Accuracy:
- Fixed an issue where the fuel surcharge was not applying to a task when there were multiple pricing options to choose from in the pricing matrix. It now applies correctly in all cases.
- Fixed a bug where the billing address was showing up instead of the service address during task creation when both addresses were the same. This caused the Project Name to not carry over to the task. The service address now shows correctly.
-
Settings:
- Fixed an issue where the Company Payroll and Company Employees settings pages were not loading. Both pages now open as expected.
-
Commercial & Residential:
- The + button for creating new C&R records is now available when using Docket on a mobile browser or tablet. Before, the button was missing on smaller screens.
