Jobs Report Overview

The Jobs Report gives you a complete view of every job in your account for a selected date range, grouped by job day. It's built to help you track job volume, see how your jobs break down by status, and review gross sales across your team's pipeline, all from one place.

Instead of digging through individual jobs one at a time, you can see your team's entire workload at a glance and drill into specific jobs when you need more detail.

Before You Start

  • By default, Admins and Office Staff have access to Reports. Admins can also choose to grant access to other roles.
  • If you don't see the Reports option in your menu, you may not have the necessary permissions. Reach out to your Admin for access.
  • If you are an Admin and would like to grant additional employees access to reports, please check out this article

Key Features

  • Summary Metrics: Shows key job metrics, including total job count, counts by status (Closed, Not Started, In Progress, Completed, Suspended, and Unknown), and total gross sales.
  • Filtering Options: Filter jobs by date range, timezone, job number, and job status.
  • Jobs Table: Provides an itemized list of all jobs grouped by date, including job number, status, client, description, and scheduled date.

Jobs Report Summary

When the report loads, the summary at the top gives you a breakdown of every job that matches your current filters. The summary updates automatically any time you change the date range or apply a filter.

The categories in this summary are:

  • Closed: Number of jobs marked Closed.
  • Not Started: Number of jobs that haven't started yet.
  • In Progress: Number of jobs currently underway.
  • Completed: Number of jobs marked Completed.
  • Suspended: Number of jobs on hold.
  • Unknown: Number of jobs where the status couldn't be resolved.
  • Total Jobs: Overall number of jobs matching your filters.
  • Total Gross Sales: Combined gross sales across all matching jobs.
    • This is calculated from each job's invoice total, with tax removed when tax is calculated separately on the invoice. If a job's gross sales look lower than expected, check whether tax is being calculated and displayed separately on that job's invoice.

Jobs Report Filters

Use the filters at the top of the report to narrow your results.

  • Date Range: Choose the timeframe for the report. This defaults to last month.
  • Timezone: Set the timezone used to interpret every date and time in the report. This field is required and comes pre-filled, but you can change it if needed.
    • The Timezone field can't be left blank. If you clear it without selecting a new timezone, the table below will show no results until a timezone is selected again.
  • Job Number: Narrow results to one or more specific job numbers.
  • Job Status: Filter by: Not Started, In Progress, Suspended, Completed, Closed, or Unknown.

In addition to the filters that appear at the top of the report, you can click All Filters to use additional filters for your report.

Additional filters include:

  • Is Canceled: Show or hide canceled jobs. Both are included by default.
  • Is Deleted: Show or hide deleted jobs. Both are included by default.
  • Is Scheduled: Show or hide jobs based on whether they have a scheduled date. Both are included by default.

Jobs Report Table

The table lists every job matching your filters, grouped by date. Each date group shows a job count, and you can expand a group to see individual jobs with details like job number, status, name, client, address, scheduled and completion dates, gross sales, and who created the job.

Sort the Jobs Report

After using the filters based on your preferences, you have additional options to sort the data that is presented in the table.

To sort the data in a table using the column headers:

  1. Click the down arrow at the top of one the table’s column headers.
  2. Select your sort preference or click the gear icon for additional options.
    • Each column can be sorted either alphabetically A-Z or Z-A OR numerically ascending or descending. For instance, the Job Number column will sort numerically while the Name column will sort alphabetically.
