Franchise Asset Report Overview

The Franchise Asset Report gives you a real-time look at where your equipment is and how much of it is available for work, broken down by franchise and team.

If your business runs multiple franchises or sub accounts, this report helps you see at a glance which locations are running low on available inventory and which ones have assets sitting idle, without checking in with each team separately.

You can review everything from a high-level summary with charts and a map, then drill down all the way to an individual piece of equipment to see exactly where it is and whether it’s ready to go.

Before You Start

Here are a few things to know before you continue:

  • By default, Admins and Office Staff have access to Reports. Admins can also choose to grant access to other roles.
  • If you don't see the Reports option in your menu, you may not have the necessary permissions. Reach out to your Admin for access.
  • If you are an Admin and would like to grant additional employees access to reports, please check out this article.

Key Features

  • Summary: Displays your Active Dumpsters and Active Assets totals across every franchise tied to your account.
  • Filtering Options: Filter by Franchise Name, Asset Filter (size or label), and Out+avail mix vs franchise (status).
  • Report Charts, Map, and Table: View a pie chart and bar chart breaking down asset availability and location, plus a map showing where your assets are located. The table starts at the franchise level and lets you drill down to team, size label, and individual equipment details.

Run the Franchise Asset Report

Please Note: For more information on other ways to run a report, please check out this article.

Franchise Asset Report Summary

When the report loads, the summary cards at the top give you a quick snapshot of your active equipment across every franchise.

The categories in this summary are:

  • Active Dumpsters: Total count of dumpster-type assets currently marked as active.
  • Active Assets: Total count of all active equipment assets across every type.

Franchise Asset Report Filters

Use the filters at the top of the report to narrow your results.

  • Franchise Name: Select one or more franchises to filter the charts, map, and table.
  • Asset Filter: Filter equipment by size or label.
  • Out+avail mix vs franchise: Filter by status: All, Within Threshold, Critical, Low, Watch, or Review. This status compares how a franchise’s out-and-available asset rate stacks up against the franchise median. When you choose a single status, the charts, map, and table all update to show only that group.

Asset Availability Charts and Map

Below the summary cards and filters, the report shows two charts and a map so you can see your asset availability at a glance before digging into the table.

Overall Asset Availability and Location: A pie chart showing the breakdown of all your active assets across six states: at yard and available, at yard and not available, not at yard and available, not at yard and not available, active with yard unknown, and active with availability unknown.

Asset Availability and Location by Team: A bar chart showing that same breakdown, split out by team, so you can see which teams are holding the most inventory in each state.

Map: Plots your asset locations by team, color-coded to match the legend on the left, and labeled with each asset’s size.

Franchise Asset Report Table

The table at the bottom of the report breaks your assets down by franchise so you can compare how each one is performing.

At the franchise level, you’ll see:

  • Franchise Name and Franchise Id: Identify each franchise.
  • Median of Pct Active Out + Available: The typical out-and-available rate across that franchise’s teams.

Once you expand a franchise, each team row shows:

  • Total team active assets and Total team active fleet, dumpsters only: Active equipment counts for that team.
  • Pct Active Out + Available and Ratio to franchise median: How that team’s out-and-available rate compares to its franchise’s median.
  • Out+avail mix vs franchise: The status tag (Within Threshold, Critical, Low, Watch, or Review) tied to the filter above.

Expand or Collapse Details in a Table

The table starts at the franchise level, but you can drill down for more detail.

  1. Click the “+” icon next to a Franchise Name row to expand it and see every team under that franchise.
  2. Click the “+” icon next to a Team Name row to expand it and see that team’s assets broken down by size label.
  3. Click the “+” icon next to a Size Label row to expand it and see each individual piece of equipment, including its address and current availability.

Click the “-” icon on any expanded row to collapse it back down.

TIP: Click the "+" or "-" icon in the column header to expand or collapse every row in the table at once, instead of doing it one row at a time.

Sort the Franchise Asset Report

After using the filters based on your preferences, you have additional options to sort the data that is presented in the table.

To sort the data in a table using the column headers:

  1. Click the down arrow at the top of one of the table’s column headers.
  2. Select your sort preference or click the gear icon for additional options.
    • Each column can be sorted either alphabetically A-Z or Z-A OR numerically ascending or descending. For instance, the Total team active assets column will sort numerically while the Team Name column will sort alphabetically.
