The Dumpster Settings by Size section is located in the middle of the Dumpster Management settings and allows you to customize what your clients will see when requesting a dumpster rental.
Before You Start
Here are a few things to know before you continue:
- We recommend that only the Account Owner(s) or Admin(s) set up or change the settings covered in this article.
- There is no "Save Settings" button in the top right corner; Docket auto-saves your changes on this page.
Navigating to Dumpster Management: Dumpster Settings by Size
To access the Dumpster Settings by Size section of your Dumpster Management settings, just follow the instructions below:
- Click on “Account” in the bottom left corner.
- Click on “Settings” at the top.
- Click on “View” on the Dumpster Management card.
- Click to expand the Dumpster Settings by Size section.
Dumpster Management: Dumpster Settings by Size Directory
This section of your settings is where you create your dumpster size options and set default weight allowances, cost per ton overages, and cost per day overages.
Please Note: If you’re using a Pricing Matrix, you still need to create your dumpster sizes and add your allowed materials to this section.
Dumpster Sizes
This setting defaults to 15 YARD, 20 YARD, and 30 YARD.
This setting controls what dumpster sizes you'll see in your Docket account and should always match the dumpster sizes your business offers to clients.
If you've already added your Dumpster Assets to the Assets section of your Docket account, clicking "Use Suggested Sizes" will automatically pull in the dumpster sizes you've added to your Assets.
Please Note: If a dumpster size is missing during task creation, it's probably missing from this setting. Make sure you're always adding new dumpster sizes your business offers to this setting!
Dumpster Settings by Size
This setting defaults to 15 YARD/1.5 TONS/$90 PER TON, 20 YARD/2 TONS/$90 PER TON, and 30 YARD/3 TONS/$90 PER TON.
This setting controls the Weight Allowance in Tons, Cost Per Ton Over, and Cost Per Day Over for each individual dumpster size you've added to the previous setting.
You can also specify the type of Waste Materials each dumpster size can handle.
