Dumpster Management Overview and Directory

The Dumpster Management settings area is where you will find all of your settings for scheduling, organizing, and tracking your dumpsters.

In this article you’ll get an overview of the settings in the Dumpster Management area, where to find them, and how to learn more about each one.

Before You Start

Here are a few things to know before you continue:

  • We recommend that only the Account Owner(s) or main Office Admins(s) set up or change the settings covered in this article.
  • Depending on how your permissions are set up you may not be able to access some or all of these settings. Please reach out to your Account Owner if additional access is needed.

Dumpster Management Overview

At the top of the Dumpster Management page there is a toggle right at the top. This will already be turned on, enabling the entire list of settings below it.

If this toggle is turned off, none of the settings in this section will work as expected and you basically won’t be able to use Docket for your roll-off business. So make sure this is always blue!

Dumpster Management Directory

Dumpster Management has 13 groups of settings that each control different aspects of your dumpsters in Docket. In order to utilize these settings you will need to make sure that you toggled on Enable Dumpster Management.

Billing

  • Set up your primary billing method, any fees you may charge, and your rental agreement (also known as “Terms & Conditions” or “T&Cs”).

Billing Issues

  • Select your overage settings and decide how you want to track issues with billing customers.

Brokering Options

  • Enable settings to automatically schedule jobs, add notes for dispatch, and share your employees' names with a broker.

Client Dashboard

  • These settings allow you to customize what your customers will see when requesting a dumpster rental.

Dumpster Pricing Matrix

  • Download and upload Pricing Matrix template or review current.

Dumpster Settings by Size

  • Create your dumpster size options and set default weight allowances, cost per ton overages, and cost per day overages.

Locations

  •  Add your preferred dump sites and where your yard is located. 

Map

  • Adjust your Dumpster Aging time frame.

Mobile App

  • Manage notifications, QR codes, required items, strict order, and dumpster tracking.

Page Options

  • Toggle your dumpster availability for display on your Docket website.

Task Options

  • Customize what your customers will see when requesting a dumpster rental. 

Scheduling Options

  • Settings to customize your drop-offs and pickups.

Theming 

  • Customize to color code your task types.
