The Task Options section located towards the bottom of the Dumpster Management settings allow you to customize what your customers will see when requesting a dumpster rental.
Before You Start
Here are a few things to know before you continue:
- We recommend that only the Account Owner(s) or Admins(s) set up or change the settings covered in this article.
- Depending on how your permissions are set up you may not be able to access some or all of these settings. Please reach out to your Account Owner if additional access is needed.
Dumpster Management: Task Options Directory
Allow Multiple Waste Windows
This feature lets you pick several kinds of waste, like concrete or asbestos, to put in one bin. Turn this on if you need to mix different types of waste together.
Arrival Window (Hours)
Use this box to set an arrival window. The service time will be in the middle of the window. So, if a task is set for 4 PM with a 4-hour window, it will be between 2 PM and 6 PM.
Default Driver Task Duration (Minutes)
This option allows you to change the default time to better reflect the actual duration of a task. When scheduling a new dumpster job, you can set a typical time for how long it should take the driver to complete it.
Net Weight Units
Here you can toggle between Lbs and Ton. Docket normally shows weight in tons, but you can switch it to pounds if that's what your company uses to measure waste.
Show Cubic Yards
Turning this on will let you enter cubic yards on the app and website, and show this info everywhere in Docket.
Show Dump Expenses & Automatically Create Expenses
Show Dump Expenses:
This setting controls whether or not pictures that your drivers take are automatically added to an invoice you create and send to your customers.
Automatically Create Expenses:
When you enable this setting, any entered dump expenses will automatically generate expense records.
Show Permits
This setting will display the option for entering permit information. We recommend activating it to allow you and your drivers to record permit details for a specific task.
