The Brokering Options section is located near the top of your Dumpster Management settings and enables you to automatically schedule jobs, add notes for dispatch, and share your employees' names with a broker.
Before You Start
Here are a few things to know before you continue:
- This section of settings only applies to your Docket account if you're currently set up to broker dumpster tasks.
- We recommend that only the Account Owner(s) or Admin(s) set up or change the settings covered in this article.
- There is no "Save Settings" button in the top right corner; Docket auto-saves your changes on this page.
Navigating to Dumpster Management: Brokering Options
To access the Brokering Options section of your Dumpster Management settings, just follow the instructions below:
- Click on “Account” in the bottom left corner.
- Click on “Settings” at the top.
- Click on “View” on the Dumpster Management card.
- Click to expand the Brokering Options section.

This section of settings gives you a few different options on setting up your Docket account to successfully broker rentals out to other businesses.
Broker Dispatch Notes Visible
This setting is ON by default.
This setting controls whether you can see your brokers' dispatch notes. We strongly recommend leaving this setting on so you don't miss anything important.
Schedule Task on Acceptance
This setting is ON by default.
This setting controls whether tasks from your brokers will be automatically added to your Schedule page. We strongly recommend leaving this setting on so you don't miss anything important.
Share Employee Name with Broker
This setting is OFF by default.
This setting controls whether your brokers will be able to see the name of the employee who completed the task.
